Board to Interview Four Candidates for Vacant School Board Seat

Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Education will interview four candidates for appointment to the district’s vacant school board seat at a special, public meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. in the board chambers at the Education Service Center (ESC), located at 4148 Winnetka Ave., N., in New Hope. The meeting will not be recorded or live streamed.

The four finalists are Richard Brynteson, Brian Hanf, Cheryl Holm-Hansen, and Lennie Kaufman. They were selected from a pool of 17 applicants whose materials were reviewed and scored blindly by board members. The candidates with the four highest scores were invited to interview.

Following the interviews, the Board will select one applicant to fill the vacancy. The appointed member will take office at the first meeting of the new year on Jan. 5, 2026, and will serve through December 2026.
