The Robbinsdale Area Schools department of communications and marketing recently earned eight awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).

The awards recognize excellence in traditional and digital public relations efforts, such as videos, newsletters, infographics, marketing materials, branding, writing, and many other categories.

In March, school districts were asked to submit nominations for recognition to NSPRA, and Robbinsdale’s communications team entered seven submissions. In addition, CEL Marketing, a vendor the district uses for website and marketing work, submitted one nomination on behalf of the district. In June NSPRA announced Robbinsdale Area Schools earned awards for all eight entries.

Entries were judged within a category only against those from organizations of similar type and size. For Robbinsdale, awards were judged among a peer group that includes the largest school districts in the country. Each entry was judged on overall excellence, as well as quality compared to other entries in the category.

In addition to receiving these awards, Robbinsdale Area Schools was recognized as leaders in communications and asked to present professional learning opportunities focusing on student voice, and branding and digital marketing during NSPRA’s national conference in July.
