Rdale Black History Month Celebration on Feb. 20

Centered on the powerful theme “Unity Over Division,” Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) will come together to celebrate Black excellence, honor cultural legacy, and uplift student voices during its annual Black History Month Celebration on Friday, Feb. 20. The community is invited to gather at Robbinsdale Middle School (RMS) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for an evening of reflection, pride, and connection.

The celebration will open with a welcoming performance by the FAIR School Crystal and RMS orchestras, setting the tone for an evening rooted in unity, culture, and collective joy. The program will also showcase dynamic student performances from Armstrong and Cooper High Schools, alongside vibrant student and community contributions, including:

  • The inspiring sounds of the FAIR School Crystal choir
  • Impactful spoken word performances
  • High-energy African drumming by Brother Ghana

In addition, community vendors will be present to share resources, information, and opportunities with families and community members, further strengthening connections beyond the program.

Following the celebration, attendees are invited to remain for a traditional meal, creating space for fellowship, joy, and shared community.

This event is a joyful affirmation of culture, creativity, and togetherness—and a powerful reminder that unity is our strength.
