Statewide Testing Information

Statewide Testing season will begin in the months following Winter Break. Below you’ll find the dates for upcoming testing at Zachary Lane.

• ACCESS & WIDA Alt ACCESS Testing for K-5 ELL students: occurs at varying times from February 2- March 19
  • Kindergarten: 2/2-3/19 varying days 1-on-1 test
  • Grades 1-5 Listening: 2/2-2/6 
  • Grades 1-5 Reading: 2/9-2/13
  • Grades 1-5 Speaking: 2/17-2/27
  • Grades 1-5 Writing: 3/2-3/13
• MCA & MTAS Reading Grades 3-5: April 14-16
• MCA & MTAS Math Grades 3-5: April 21-23
• MCA & MTAS Science Grade 5 Only: April 28-30
• District Student Survey Grades 4 & 5: February 25

Test Security Information for Students 

The Minnesota Department of Education and Robbinsdale Area Schools expect each student to follow all state and district policies for test administration. As part of a culture of academic integrity, we would like to remind families and students of the importance of test security. Students are expected to keep test content secure, and act with honesty and integrity during test administration.

All students are expected to follow the directions given for district and state assessments. When taking these assessments: 

• Students should do their own best work to show what they know and can do. 
• Students should not accept help finding answers to test items. 
• Students should not give answers to other students. 
• Students should not tell others what is on the test. 
• There may be consequences if students do not follow directions or if they behave dishonestly.
