Welcome to Zachary Lane Elementary School!

At Zachary Lane Elementary, we believe in the power of community and the joy of learning. Our school is not just a place of academics; it is a vibrant community where every student, family, and educator plays an important role. We are committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where each student feels a sense of belonging and is supported in reaching their full potential.

One of our core values is fostering a love of reading. We believe that reading opens doors to new worlds, sparks creativity, and enhances academic success. Through our dedicated teachers, engaging library resources, and fun literacy initiatives, we inspire our students to become lifelong readers and learners.

We also take pride in the strong partnerships we have built with businesses and the community.  Our 5th graders have a long standing partnership with Northrop-Grumman and our 4th graders have a business partnership with Daikin.  Both partnerships provide opportunities for our students to engage in engineering experiences.   All of our students benefit from our unique Green Team.  This team is comprised of families, community members, and a strong partnership with the University of Minnesota Agriculture department to provide hands on learning experiences in our robust out door garden and inside in our Grow Lab.

We are excited to partner with you on this journey of education and growth. Together, we can nurture a love for learning in your child and build a strong foundation for their future success.
